BAT has set a goal of becoming a company offering smoke-free products by 2035. At the group level, it reports 26.4 million consumers of noncombustible products and aims to reach 50 million by 2030. New categories account for 18% of group revenue, and BAT’s target is for noncombustible products to generate 50% of revenue by 2035. The company invests more than £30 million in R&D and has more than 400 people working in this area.

Recognition and initiatives

BAT was named a Top Employer in Spain for 2024 and received the Global Seal. The company has also joined the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), among the first companies to do so.
