Funway Academic Resort is a student residence in central Madrid at Calle Alonso Castrillo 22, 28020. It describes itself as a student accommodation complex with services associated with a five-star hotel, serving university students, candidates preparing for public examinations, graduate students, professors, and speakers from Spain and abroad.

Rooms and stays

The residence offers single and double rooms in three categories: standard, superior, and suites, with or without a terrace. Every room has a private bathroom, television, study desk, and geothermal climate control. Stays can be daily, weekly, shorter than a month, or long-term for an academic year. Check-in begins at 3 p.m.; checkout is at noon.

The complex is 200 meters from Tetuán station on Metro Line 1 and 700 meters from Cuzco station on Line 10. Plaza de Castilla transit hub is 1.1 kilometers away, Santiago Bernabéu Stadium is 1 kilometer away, and Paseo de la Castellana is 800 meters away. Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport is 11 kilometers away. The residence also highlights its proximity to universities including Complutense, CEU, IE, and ICADE, as well as Madrid's exam-preparation academies.

Additional information

The residence has a landscaped interior courtyard and a special cancellation policy called the “Funway Cancellation Guarantee,” which covers a refund of the reservation if a student does not receive a visa or if the school closes because of a pandemic. It also has a COVID-19 prevention protocol. Reservations for the 2026–27 academic year are open, with limited availability.
