About EcoHornet
What EcoHornet is
EcoHornet is a Madrid company developing and manufacturing high-output thermal-energy equipment using pelletized biomass. Its patented technology is designed to burn pellets made from varied biomass while remaining below EU pollution limits applicable from 2020. The firm presents itself as exclusive representative for Spain and Spanish-speaking America.
Products
- Pellet thermal plants
- Injection pellet burners
- Hot-air generators
- Pellet burners with radiant tubes
- Pyrolysis plants
Fuel and applications
Systems process pellets from agricultural, livestock, forestry and industrial byproducts, energy plants, biodegradable municipal and industrial waste, and sewage sludge. The company describes temperatures above 1,200°C and processes combining gasification, direct combustion, incineration, post-combustion and heat transfer. Outputs can include electricity, cogenerated heat, biogas, bio-oil and biochar, using hot or superheated water, hot air, steam, thermal radiation or heat-transfer oil.
Emissions claimed
EcoHornet reports carbon-monoxide emissions of 0–250 mg/Nm³, particles below 7 mg/Nm³ and volatile organic compounds below 10 mg/Nm³.
Target sectors
Models and thermal capacities are aimed at residential, agricultural and industrial uses, with integration into cogeneration and trigeneration systems.
