What the service does

Certificación Energética arranges energy performance certificates for homes and offices. The service is aimed at property owners who need the document for a sale or tenancy under Spanish rules.

Process

The advertised process begins with a quotation, payment and a form containing basic property details. An accredited technician then inspects the premises, prepares the report and registers it with the Community of Madrid. The resulting document includes an A-to-G energy label and recommendations intended to improve energy use. Confirm the technician’s qualification and the registration receipt for the specific property.

Timescale and validity

• Delivery advertised from 72 hours after the inspection
• Validity stated as ten years, except a G-rated certificate, which is stated to require renewal after five years
