Fundación País Global Maharishi de la Paz Mundial

About the foundation

Fundación País Global Maharishi de la Paz Mundial is a nonpolitical, nonreligious organization based in Madrid. It promotes Transcendental Meditation (TM) and other disciplines derived from the Vedic science teachings of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Its work includes educational programs, natural-health products, and philanthropic projects.

Transcendental Meditation

The foundation describes TM as a simple, natural technique practiced while sitting with the eyes closed for 15 or 20 minutes twice a day. It provides information about the course structure, related scientific research, and places to learn TM in Spain, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

Ayurveda and related products

The foundation promotes Maharishi Ayurveda as a natural-medicine system and sells or distributes related products, including:

• Amrit Kalash
• Ayurvedic teas and drinks
• Vedaroma essential oils and aromatherapy
• Ayurvedic seasonings
• Herbal supplements

The foundation's website says neither TM nor Maharishi Ayurveda replaces professional medical diagnosis or treatment.

Other Vedic disciplines

• Gandharva Veda (Indian classical music)
• Jyotish and Yagya (Vedic astrology and consultations)
• Sthapatya Veda (architecture and construction based on Natural Law and Vastu principles)
• Maharishi Vedic Agriculture
• Education and Consciousness-Based Education in schools

Projects and donations

The foundation directs donations to Maharishi Vedic Pandits, a group based at India's Brahmasthan that, according to the organization, creates a global effect of peace and coherence. It also shares information about the David Lynch Foundation and its projects addressing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and publishes a selection of books in Spanish and English.
