About Fundación Prodis

Education and opportunity

Fundación Prodis is a Madrid-based nonprofit established in 2000 to support the personal development and social and employment inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities. Its work combines educational programs, job-placement services, and its own Special Employment Center.

Education and training pathways

The foundation offers a learning path that spans the transition to adulthood through college-level training. Its programs include:

  • Programa de Transición Escal-A and the Avanzas precollege program.
  • Promentor, a university certificate program developed with the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM). In 2026, it marks its 20th anniversary and graduates its 20th class.
  • A master's program in business and legal services.
  • Programa Empresa, whose 12th class graduated after a year of training and skills development.
  • Continuing education through test-preparation classes, digital skills, Conecta2, English School, and communication and language programs.

Employment and inclusion

Prodis has a supported-employment service that helps businesses add employees with intellectual disabilities to their teams. Its Special Employment Center also serves businesses and sells products through Prodishop, which are made by people with intellectual disabilities.

Occupational and other support

The foundation runs an occupational center with employment-inclusion programs, personal and social development, and related activities. Its other services include recreation and leisure planning, sports and health, housing, psychosocial counseling, therapeutic support, a senior program, and cognitive stimulation. It also operates Instituto de Formación Inclusiva i360.

Working with businesses and individuals

Businesses can support the foundation through partnerships, donations as an alternative measure under Spain's General Disability Law (LGD), social-impact donations, pro bono work, purchases from the Special Employment Center, and corporate volunteering. Individuals can make a one-time donation, become members, volunteer, or leave a bequest.
