Fundación Círculo de Tecnologías para la Defensa y la Seguridad is a Spanish organization that brings together government, universities, public research organizations, and industry for discussion of defense and security technology. Its work includes technical events, discussion forums, and specialized publications.

Events and topics

The foundation regularly organizes technical sessions on issues facing the sector, often with academic institutions and public agencies. Topics have included:

• Low-observable technologies for advanced military platforms
• Hypersonic challenges in defense and aviation
• Orbital operations and space security
• Electronic warfare and control of the electromagnetic spectrum
• Cybersecurity and artificial intelligence
• Microelectronics and semiconductors
• 5G projects for emergencies, defense, and security
• Public safety technologies

Events have been held at venues including ETSIAN, ETSIAE-UPM, CESEDEN, the Army War and Leadership School, and trade shows such as SICUR. The foundation also publishes news and specialized material, produces a podcast, and works on women, engineering, and defense through initiatives such as the STEAM Alliance for Female Talent and the “Women, Engineering and Defense” (MID) project.

Recognition

The foundation has received the “Civil Society Contribution to Defense” award.
