Rehabilitation and hospital equipment

Ortotecsa designs, manufactures, and sells rehabilitation equipment, hospital furniture, sensory rooms, senior fitness parks, and active-stimulation circuits. Its products are intended for health care facilities, senior residences, and public spaces, with solutions adapted to each installation.

History and milestones

Founded in 1979, the company became a manufacturer of rehabilitation equipment. In 1999, it designed, built, and installed Spain’s first senior fitness park, establishing a position in that category. It launched a hydrotherapy line in 2015, which it describes as the only one from a European manufacturer. In 2018, it created active-stimulation circuits for physical and cognitive activity, and in 2021 added a hospital equipment line.

Ortotecsa holds health license No. 1187-PS for manufacturing and importing rehabilitation products and assistive devices. It lists ISO 9001:2015 certification No. ES17/22427 and ISO 13485:2016 certification No. ES13/15114. Its products carry CE marking, with declarations of conformity for medical devices under European Regulation 2017/745 (MDR), senior fitness parks and active-stimulation circuits under EN 16630, and stimulation circuits under UNE-EN 1176/1:2018. The company also lists a certificate of free sale issued by the Chamber of Commerce and the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Medical Devices, and a technical report by a physical therapist through the Madrid Association of Physical Therapists supporting the quality and safety of its parks.
