PUEDES – Plataforma Unida para la Evangelización de España

A platform for evangelical outreach in Spain

PUEDES is the United Platform for Evangelization in Spain, an initiative created by the Federation of Evangelical Religious Entities of Spain (FEREDE). Its purpose is to promote evangelism in the country and the establishment of evangelical churches and congregations, while coordinating the organizations that belong to the federation.

Origins

The platform grew out of a proposal from the evangelism working group at the Seventh Spanish Evangelical Congress, held in Barcelona in December 2007. A committee brought together key groups involved in evangelism in Spain; on March 26, 2009, they agreed on the name PUEDES and defined its goals.

Participating organizations

The working group includes evangelism leaders from families and denominational groups, organizations, and churches that are part of FEREDE. Participating organizations include:

• Assemblies of God
• Brethren Assemblies
• A.E.M.C. (Betel)
• Federation of Independent Evangelical Churches of Spain (FIEIDE)
• Spanish Evangelical Church (IEE)
• Spanish Reformed Episcopal Church (IERE)
• Church of God in Spain (FIDE)
• Philadelphia Evangelical Church
• Federation of Apostolic Churches of Spain (FIAPE)

Activities and resources

The platform gathers and shares information about evangelism needs and available resources in Spain and abroad, including organizations, people, research, and materials. It also maintains a calendar of evangelistic activities hosted by FEREDE churches. Congregations and organizations can submit their own events through a form. FEREDE states that it is not responsible for the accuracy of calendar entries and that listing an event does not exempt organizers from following applicable law.
