Specialized English courses

The English Centre is a language school with more than six years of experience, focused on legal English, business English, Cambridge exam preparation (First, Advanced, and Proficiency), and IELTS. Classes are available online or in person at the school, at a client's office, or over the internet.

Legal, exam, and business English

• Legal English: courses taught by two English attorneys, both former members of the Law Society. One has experience in labor, contract, and criminal law. Lessons focus on fluency, legal vocabulary, correct preposition use, and reading and drafting contracts.
• Cambridge exam preparation: classes for the First, Advanced, and Proficiency exams, with instructors specifically trained in exam preparation, including at Madrid's English Exam Centre. The school notes that Madrid multinationals particularly value the Cambridge Advanced qualification.
• Business English: specialized courses for real estate agencies, financial services—including banks, funds, and private equity—and government departments. The school says it does not cover energy or communications.

Class format and funding

Classes have no more than eight students. Courses begin in September, January, and April, but students can join at other times. The school offers a free one-hour trial class and a free placement test. Its courses may qualify for support through Spain's Tripartite Foundation, allowing businesses to recover part of their training costs.

Student and client feedback

A Madrid student named Carlota praises Christopher's teaching and says she passed the CAE comfortably after a year and a half. Antonio Delgado, human resources director at BNP Paribas in Madrid, praises the legal English instructor's professionalism and the writing and contract-negotiation skills developed in the course.
