Cordoban culture in the Spanish capital
Founded in 1955, Casa de Córdoba en Madrid brings together people with ties to Córdoba and Andalusia who live in Madrid. Its cultural, social, and food events are intended to keep Cordoban and Andalusian traditions part of the city’s life.
Art, flamenco, poetry, and food
The association’s program brings together cultural events, flamenco, and gastronomy. Activities have included:
- Art and ethnographic exhibitions, including a 2026 show marking the centennial of La Rambla pottery and ceramics and a presentation of Manuel Rivera’s Testamento Andaluz
- Flamenco singing, guitar, and dance at its Rincón del Cante Manolo Vílchez
- The Los Cinco Califas bullfighting awards, which reached their 52nd edition in 2026
- A poetry contest whose third edition was won by Daniela Adriana Zgirdea’s Raíz de agua y cal
- Charity work with Fundación Juan José Márquez and other organizations, including markets and support for child-nutrition projects
- Book presentations and cultural events, including a book published by the association with Fundación Juan José Márquez
