Tomsa Destil is a Spanish engineering company specializing in technology for the alcohol and biofuel industries. With more than 170 years of experience, it designs, builds, installs, and operates equipment and processes for the biofuel, chemical, pharmaceutical, and food sectors. Experience and Reach

The company has completed more than 700 projects in 48 countries, including projects valued at up to $150 million. It was an early adopter of vacuum distillation in the alcohol industry and holds patents covering extraction processes, yield improvements, specialized yeasts, and mechanical designs. Its clients include beverage-alcohol producers such as Barceló, Santa Teresa, Plantation Rum, Campari Group, José Cuervo, Tequila Herradura, Tequila Sauza, Diageo, Pernod Ricard, Bacardi, and Beam Suntory, as well as bioethanol producers such as KTIS, Abengoa, Pannonia Bio, and Vertex.

Facilities

Tomsa Destil’s operations center is in Madrid. It includes offices for administration and engineering, 5,000 square meters of in-house workshops for equipment manufacturing, and an R&D center with a laboratory, pilot plants, and a research facility. The company also has commercial subsidiaries in North America, South America, Europe, and Southeast Asia.
