Transportation engineering and consulting

Consultrans is a Spanish company with an international presence that has spent more than 35 years developing engineering, architecture, strategic consulting, and information-technology projects for passenger and freight transportation. It has been part of Imathia Global Group since 2008, allowing it to offer services from strategic and feasibility studies through construction and project delivery.

Main services

• Rail engineering: high-speed, urban, and freight rail projects; railway construction supervision and technical inspection; and rail systems, including electrification, telecommunications, and signaling.
• Transportation architecture: railway stations, intermodal terminals, and support buildings.
• Roads: construction plans, tender and concession studies, traffic studies, and simulations.
• Consulting: feasibility studies, urban planning and mobility, and multilateral funding.
• Transportation technology, environmental services, and BIM.

Selected projects

Consultrans has participated in contracts awarded by ADIF, including plans to remodel Alcalá de Henares station and the La Garena and Soto de Henares stops; the track-installation project for the Madrid–Extremadura high-speed line between Talayuela and the Navalmoral de la Mata Logistics Platform access, including Arroyo de Santa María; and track renewal on the Martorell–Sant Vicenç de Calders and Sant Vicenç de Calders–Vilaseca sections. It also worked for Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana on a preliminary plan for a centralized traffic-control center in Valencia and completed a feasibility study for a railway network in Iraq’s Kurdistan Region for the regional Ministry of Construction and Housing. Through Consultrans Chile, it won conceptual and basic engineering studies for railway facilities. The company also designed Kampala’s new transport terminal.
