Musical Martí VAM is a music and dance school with more than 20 years of activity. It has locations in Herrera Oria in northern Madrid and in Arroyomolinos in the south of the region. The school offers arts education for children, teens, and adults, bringing music and dance together in one program.
Programs
The school organizes music and dance instruction by age and level:
- VAM Method: introductory music for children ages 2–6
- Elementary music instruction: ages 8–11
- Professional music instruction: ages 12 and up
- Open-enrollment music classes: flexible instruction for any age
- VAM dance, with elementary, professional, and open-enrollment programs
The VAM Method
The VAM Method is the school's registered teaching approach, created by Vanessa Martí Martorell after more than 20 years of educational research. It is based on neuromusic and an evolving musical staff designed by the school, with the goal of supporting students' cognitive and emotional development as well as their musical skills. Younger children begin with PequeVAM, an introduction to listening, rhythm, voice, and coordination. Starting at age 4, students combine individual lessons with group and orchestra classes.
Additional activities
Along with regular classes, the school organizes courses, workshops, arts camps, concerts, showcases, and competitions that give students performance experience.
Faculty and locations
The faculty consists of working professionals, and pedagogical direction is led by Vanesa Martí. The school has two centers: one in Herrera Oria in northern Madrid and another at Colegio Pasteur in Arroyomolinos, south of Madrid.
