Meriu Díaz Design Studio approaches architecture and product design through the daily lives of the people who will use the result. Founded by Meriu Díaz in 2020, the Madrid-based practice describes its process as a continuing conversation with clients about their needs, expectations, and the way a space or object should feel and function.

Interiors, objects, and material choices

The studio’s work spans interior design and product development. Its stated approach draws on natural materials, traditional craftsmanship, and digital fabrication, with sustainability treated as part of the design brief rather than a finishing touch. That combination allows the studio to move between personal spaces, furniture, and more complex design commissions.

A cross-disciplinary background

Díaz studied architecture at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and the Architectural Association in London, and product design at Istituto Europeo di Design. Before opening her own studio, she worked with international architecture practices on projects ranging from affordable multifamily housing and office interiors to furniture and museums. The studio also lists collaborators in architecture and interior decoration, extending its work beyond a single discipline.
