Infrastructure Maintenance and Operations

ImesAPI is a Spanish company specializing in the maintenance and operation of urban and interurban infrastructure. It was formed through the merger of imes S.A. and Aplicación de Pinturas, API, S.A., and describes itself as a reference in its field. Its work is organized into four areas: Maintenance and Environment; Facilities and Services; Mobility and Rehabilitation; and Water Supply and Sanitation.

Main Services

• Maintenance and Environment: roads, road engineering, urban-space rehabilitation, sanitation and water supply, and environmental services.
• Facilities and Services: public-lighting management and maintenance, traffic signals, building maintenance, social and healthcare services, control and automation systems, energy systems, installations and assembly, hydraulic installations, and ornamental fountains.
• Mobility and Rehabilitation: signs, road delineation and barriers, on-street parking management, rehabilitation and industrial painting, industrial cleaning, and sign manufacturing.
• Water Supply and Sanitation: water and sewer-network management.

Projects and Recognition

ImesAPI was a finalist in the 22nd ACEX National Award for Safety in Road Maintenance, in the member category, for a GPS navigation project for snowplow routes. It also obtained approval for the first DGT-certified connected traffic cone (Cono Conectado DGT V01), meeting the January 17, 2025 resolution for sending data to the National Access Point (NAP).

Public-works projects include landscape and cultural restoration of the Arab Garden at Juan Carlos I Park in Madrid, with nearly 300 trees and 2,000 shrubs planted, and installation of 283 signs in 30 municipalities in the Las Vegas and Alcarria de Alcalá region of Madrid under the Sustainable Tourism Destination Plan.
