Fenin

Representing Spain’s health technology sector

Fenin is the Spanish Federation of Healthcare Technology Companies, representing manufacturers, importers, and distributors of medical devices in Spain. Its scope covers technologies used to prevent, diagnose, treat, and monitor disease.

Industry figures

According to figures published by the federation, Spain’s healthcare technology sector includes more than 2 million medical technologies, generates more than €12.7 billion in annual revenue, and exports around €5 billion. It directly employs more than 55,600 people. A separate set of figures from an earlier period lists €11.6 billion in revenue, €4.9 billion in exports, and 35,000 direct jobs.

Services and areas of work

Fenin works on government and public relations, communications, regulatory and legal affairs, industry data and research, training, innovation and entrepreneurship, international expansion, and ESG standards. It also manages a code of ethics and an event-validation system and has its own foundation.
