Products and Materials

Processes and Quality Control

Roberto Castillón uses two complementary vulcanization technologies: molten salt bath (Salt Bath/LCM) for peroxide-cured EPDM compounds, intended for drinking-water, food, and pharmaceutical applications; and hot-air vulcanization for a wide range of shapes and finishes. The company highlights its in-house salt bath as a capability few manufacturers in the industry have. Quality control includes automatic measurement at the extruder and oven-line exits, continuous in-line analysis, and monitoring through its MES system.
