About Confraria de Pescadors del Port de Llançà

Representing Llançà's fishing industry

Confraria de Pescadors del Port de Llançà is a nonprofit public corporation with its own legal status and representative membership. It serves as a consultative and collaborative body for the Government of Catalonia and represents professional fishers within its jurisdiction.

Area of responsibility

The guild's area extends from Rec d'en Feliu, the municipal boundary with Port de la Selva, to the French border. This boundary does not prevent the organization from working across a wider area to defend the fishing sector and support the marketing of its products.

Port services and information

The guild manages the fish auction at the port and publishes information about its schedule and how it works. Its website also features the fishing fleet, including vessel profiles and fishing methods; local species and statistics; recipes; and a fishing tourism section with participating boats and descriptions of the activity.

Resources for the fishing community

The website includes news, press, regulations, training announcements, job listings, boat sales, and financial aid. It also links to the Government of Catalonia, Llançà City Council, the tourism office, and Associació Monmar.
