Equipment for the foundry industry

Euro-Equip, S.L. is a Spanish company that supplies and installs equipment for the foundry industry. It has operated since 1974 and says it has contributed to the modernization of foundries in Spain, as well as working with some foundries in other countries. Its work ranges from supplying a single machine to delivering complete turnkey installations. The company says it is the exclusive agent and licensee in Spain for international foundry-equipment brands.

Processes and Equipment

• Scrap charging and preparation: charging systems for induction furnaces.

Customers and Engineering

Its main customers include foundries supplying components for the automotive, machinery, mining, and marine industries. Euro-Equip has mechanical and electrical engineering departments that develop custom projects, as well as a spare-parts warehouse with more than 4,000 items to support customers after installation.

Recent In-House Developments

The company's website describes several research and development projects: an automated articulated arm for removing slag from melting furnaces, funded by SPRI; an in-stream inoculation control system that detects whether powder is entering the molten-metal stream; and a proprietary vision system developed to complement its automatic pouring-control range.
