Tuhewi - Walter Martínez S.A.U. is a Spanish manufacturer and distributor of nuts and fastening systems, with a focus on the automotive industry. It is the exclusive representative in Spain and Portugal for German automotive-nut manufacturer HEWI-G.Winker GmbH & Co. KG, which has more than 75 years of industry experience.

Products and Capabilities

• Hex nuts and nuts with pressed or inserted washers, including self-locking versions, with or without nonmetallic inserts, in standard designs or made to customer requirements.
• Nuts for specialized applications, including transmissions, shock absorbers, axles, steering columns, wheels, chassis, and hot stamping.
• Custom parts made to drawings through cold stamping, hot stamping, and machining.
• Strip nuts for welding.
• Fasteners and custom parts, including weld screws, assembly screws, pins, bolts, shafts, and parts made to drawings.
• Assembly solutions, including components, boxed nuts, bushings, and welding.

The company also distributes imported standard nuts, mainly weld nuts made to DIN, ISO, UNE, EN, and NES standards, with PPAP Level 3 initial-sample reports and lot traceability.

Quality Control and Certifications

Tuhewi has in-house machine-vision inspection equipment, including rotary systems with four cameras to check different nut specifications and verify thread presence. It lists UNE-EN ISO 9001, UNE-EN ISO 14001, ISO/IEC 27001, and IATF 16949 certifications, as well as HEWI certification for ISO 14001.

Warehousing

The company has more than 19,000 square meters of warehouse space across Zaragoza and Madrid. Its fully automated warehouse has capacity for more than 12,000 pallets dedicated exclusively to fasteners and fixing systems.
