Engineering, safety, and technical training

Ingematis is headquartered in Langreo, Asturias. It began in 2003 as an engineering firm working on technical projects and construction supervision in civil engineering, industry, architecture, and environmental services. Over time, it added specialized training and occupational safety services. Today, it combines engineering, environmental work, workplace-safety consulting, industrial inspections, drones, and photogrammetry with training and professional certification.

Training and certification

The company is an accredited training center in several technical specialties. Milestones include:

• Accreditation as an external occupational safety and health provider in 2004.
• Training-center accreditation for mobile cranes in 2005 and tower cranes in 2008.
• Authorization by IPAF to train mobile elevating work platform (MEWP) operators since 2007.
• AENOR UNE 58451:2012 certification for forklift operators and Bureau Veritas UNE 58923:2012 certification for MEWP operators.
• Training-center accreditation for crop-protection products and industrial boiler operators in 2014.
• Load-securing training for road transportation in 2015.

According to the company, more than 60% of Asturias crane operators with official licenses trained in its classrooms. By 2013, it was training more than 1,000 students a year and had issued more than 10,000 training certificates and official licenses.

Engineering and environmental services

The engineering and environmental department performs industrial-hygiene measurements—including workplace and environmental noise, welding fumes, and asbestos fibers—and prepares reports. It has also developed energy- and environmental-audit services. Since 2018, the company has used drones for selected engineering and environmental tasks.

Quality and accreditation

Ingematis certified its management system to UNE-EN ISO 9001 through AENOR in 2007. It is an IPAF member, holds IQNET certification, and is approved by the Construction Labor Foundation (FLC) and Fundación Metal. It is also listed as an accredited provider of mobile-crane, tower-crane, crop-protection, and industrial-boiler courses.
