Pediatria dels Pirineus is a Catalan professionals’ cooperative that manages and coordinates pediatric and gynecological care in the regions of Alt Urgell, Pallars, and Alta Ribagorça. Its work spans primary care centers and hospitals, with the goal of providing coordinated and sustainable maternal and child health care in a mountain region.

The cooperative serves locations across Alt Urgell, Pallars Jussà, Pallars Sobirà, and Alta Ribagorça, including:

• Alt Urgell: La Seu d'Urgell (Fundació Sant Hospital, ABS La Seu d'Urgell), Oliana, Organyà, and Coll de Nargó (ABS Alt Urgell Sud).
• Pallars Jussà: Tremp (Hospital Comarcal del Pallars, ABS Tremp) and La Pobla de Segur (ABS La Pobla).
• Pallars Sobirà: Esterri d'Àneu, Llavorsí, and Sort (ABS Pallars Sobirà).
• Alta Ribagorça: El Pont de Suert (ABS Alta Ribagorça).

Activity and professional training

The cooperative maintains a regular presence in the region, including expanded pediatric coverage in Pallars Sobirà and changes to its professional teams. It contributes to the ferSalut magazine and has hosted pediatric residents for external rotations since 2019.
