What EcoGypsum Alabaster is

EcoGypsum Alabaster produces high-purity calcium sulfate dihydrate derivatives from microcrystalline gypsum rock, or alabaster. Its own research and development supports products for agriculture, livestock and industry.

Raw material and origin

The alabaster comes from deposits in Ribera Baja del Ebro and Bajo Martín, in Zaragoza and Teruel provinces, areas with a long history of extracting the mineral.

Products by sector

• Agro Gyp: microcrystalline calcium sulfate dihydrate above 90% purity for fertilizer, soil amendment and conditioning. The company says it addresses alkaline and saline soils, improves structure and permeability and supplies sulfur and calcium. It is presented as suitable for organic agriculture.
• Clean Gyp: microcrystalline calcium sulfate for livestock bedding and surfaces, intended to limit bacteria, odor, moisture and harmful slurry compounds in pig, horse, poultry, sheep, goat and cattle facilities
• Alabaster Clink: high-purity material for cement, gypsum panels, paper, polymers and other industrial applications
