Education and social inclusion in Bellvitge

Fundació Centre Educatiu Esclat is a nonprofit based in the Bellvitge neighborhood of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona. With more than 40 years of experience, it provides education, support, and training for children and young people facing vulnerability, promoting equal opportunity and social change.

Programs

The foundation organizes its programs into four main areas:

• Education (UEC): a shared-schooling unit that provides educational support to young people, including pathways to graduation and employment.
• Social and educational services: includes Espai Socioeducatiu, Som Mosaic, and Famílies en xarxa, with educational support and family programs.
• Educational recreation: inclusive programs such as Esplai and Casal d'Estiu that support relationship skills, emotional development, and community connection.
• Community programs: initiatives such as Punt Òmnia and Gent Sàvia for adults and older people, including computer classes, digital literacy, and social gatherings.

Who it serves

Programs address the educational, social, and training needs of children, young people, families, and adults in the neighborhood. Staff and volunteers provide opportunities for interaction, listening, and support that strengthen family life.
