The team

• Rafael Hayas López, architect (Granada, 2001), founded Civitasnova in 2011 and has advised municipalities on technical matters since 2005.
• María Ángeles Rico Zafra, attorney (University of Navarra, 1999), is a co-founder specializing in urban-planning law. She received an award from Granada’s Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation.
• José Adolfo Lozano Miralles, architectural technologist and building engineer, joined the construction division in 2013.
• Bernabé Moya Liébana, architect (Granada, 2009), joined the project and design department in 2014.

Tools and approach

The studio works with technical software including Allplan, CypeCAD, CypeMEP, Arquímedes, and Lightroom. It says 50% of its fees are tied to construction results. The firm is pursuing ISO 9001 quality certification and applies sustainability and energy-efficiency criteria to its projects.
