About Fundación Estatal para la Prevención de Riesgos Laborales F.S.P.
About the foundation
Fundación Estatal para la Prevención de Riesgos Laborales F.S.P. (FEPRL) is a nationwide organization focused on workplace health and safety. Its main role is to administer and issue grants for training and public-information initiatives in this field, as well as publish resources and awareness campaigns.
Grant opportunities
FEPRL's grants committee periodically approves funding opportunities for organizations carrying out prevention activities. Published funding areas include:
- Cross-industry workplace health and safety initiatives.
- Industry-specific workplace health and safety initiatives.
- Cross-industry activities included in Spain's 2023–27 Strategy for Occupational Safety and Health.
- Regional initiatives for Ceuta and Melilla.
Grant rules are established through ministerial orders published in Spain's Official State Gazette (BOE). The application period begins after a summary of each funding opportunity appears in the BOE.
Prevention campaigns
The foundation runs awareness campaigns with Spain's National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (INSST). In 2026, it launched “Prevention and Protection: Turn the Numbers Around,” a campaign to strengthen prevention in agriculture and reduce tractor rollover accidents. The campaign includes videos, social media graphics, and fact sheets covering rollover causes, safety recommendations, compatible rollover protection systems, and grants for installing protective equipment or replacing tractors.
Transparency and resources
The foundation's website includes transparency information, annual reports, news, a document library, visit plans, and forms for requesting reprints and distribution, providing information about its work and management.
