About Jóvenes Científicos
Jóvenes Científicos describes itself as an exploration lab that designs educational and cultural experiences bringing together science, storytelling, technology and creativity. Its work is organized into three areas that can stand alone or be combined into interdisciplinary missions.
Program areas
- Exploration and the Future: robots, experiments and artificial intelligence, including behavior programming, sensor building and machine design for imagined environments
- Storytelling and Fiction: worldbuilding with consistent geography, cultures, technology and conflicts, as well as creature guides and maps of imaginary places
- Missions and Games (Play: Science & Literature): interdisciplinary projects such as solving mysteries with the scientific method, designing science-fiction-inspired space colonies or inventing impossible machines grounded in real science
Who it serves
The company develops programs for three main audiences:
- Libraries seeking substantive cultural activities beyond guided reading or crafts
- Schools and high schools interested in interdisciplinary projects, science-based reading programs or narrative-driven STEAM activities
- Families who value curiosity beyond the standard curriculum and see learning as an adventure
Collaborations
The website describes partnerships with other organizations to design joint interdisciplinary experiences under the theme “Bienvenidos a la Fiesta” (“Welcome to the Party”). It does not list specific partners or terms.
