About Derecho & Perspectiva
What Derecho & Perspectiva is
Derecho & Perspectiva is a digital legal publication created by young lawyers and law students. It combines academic analysis with current legal developments and explicitly operates as an educational publication rather than a law firm or legal-advice service.
Subjects and sections
The website organizes material across several fields and formats:
- Current civil, employment, commercial, criminal and public law
- Case law with attention to international, European Union and comparative law
- Research and long-form analysis
- Special sections, including English-language content
- Related subjects such as political science, economics and business
Articles have addressed Spain's proposed data-protection law, mortgage floor clauses and the Court of Justice of the European Union, liability for downloading illegal content, legal education, Spanish inheritance law, second-chance procedures for entrepreneurs, taxation of professional soccer players, unlawful urban-planning decisions, legal clinics, corporate responsibility and esports.
Editors and contributors
The project includes an editorial team and board, continuing contributors, writers from partner organizations and current-affairs reporters. It describes diversity of opinion as a defining feature, bringing together law students, practitioners and professors. The footer credits Julio Bermúdez and José Ignacio Herce with creating the website and carries a 2018 date.
Institutional activity
The publication has signed a framework agreement with ASODENA and launched a redesigned website. It has also publicized events including the 2017 REDOEDA Congress, international sessions on the European Data Protection Regulation, the ELSA and Uría Menéndez ESMCC legal-practice initiative and the first ELSA Spain Law Review.
Contact
The website provides a contact form and a separate author-access area.
Its strongest role is as a bridge into legal debate, giving early-career writers a place to connect statutes and judgments with the practical questions facing Spain and the European Union.
