Handmade gelato and Neapolitan coffee near Illetas Beach

Corazón Helado is the joint creation of Alessandro and Patrizia, an Italian-Spanish couple who brought their gelato-making dream to Mallorca. Their shop on the Paseo de Illetas is a short walk from the beach, with an outdoor terrace for a pause between swims or a stroll along the waterfront. The display features more than 40 flavors of handmade Italian gelato, including vegan choices.

There is more to the counter than ice cream: the owners also make frozen yogurt, granita, and fresh fruit-and-vegetable juices, while waffles are cooked to order and cakes and tiramisu round out the sweets. Neapolitan coffee pairs naturally with a scoop or a slice of cake, making the shop as inviting for a coffee break as it is for gelato. Corazón Helado works equally well for a quick cone on the way to the water or a slower coffee-and-dessert break outside.
