Obleas Quintín S.L. is a Spanish company founded in 1908 that makes wafers and cookies for confectionery. It supplies manufacturers in the candy, ice cream, bakery, nougat, and chocolate industries. Its product lines include confectionery products, pastries, wafers for ice cream, and chocolate.

History and Recognition

The company received an award at the third Gala of Centenarian Companies for its 115-year history and was admitted to the province of Alicante’s Centenarian Companies Club, which is part of AEFA, the Association of Family Businesses of Alicante. Three generations have led the business.

Certifications and Quality

• BRC Food certification for food safety since 2010, with top scores and current certification.
• IFS Food certification since 2021.
• Innovative SME designation for the research project “Optimal formulation with the addition of new whitening ingredients to produce edible sheets with improved physicochemical and sensory properties,” supported by CDTI (the Ministry of Science and Innovation) and carried out with Miguel Hernández University.

These certifications allow the company to work with major Spanish and European supermarket chains and to control the full manufacturing process, from raw-material intake to finished-product shipping.

Facilities and Expansion

Obleas Quintín has more than 4,000 square meters of facilities in the new industrial park in Ibi, Alicante. The site was modernized in 2023 and includes general offices, private offices, and a sample and meeting room. In 2024, the company invested more than €2 million in new production lines. It continues to expand in European and non-European markets, using the ISM trade fair in Cologne as a platform for growth.
