Company History

The business began more than 60 years ago, when brothers Lorenzo Correas Otín and Jesús started distributing fruit and vegetables from a small warehouse in Sabiñánigo under the name Frutas Correas. Frutas Correas, S.A., focused on wholesale fruit and vegetable sales, was formed in 1979. The company began distributing San Miguel beer in 1982 and added an industrial line of cleaning products for hospitality businesses in 1990. Distribuciones Correas, S.A. began operating in Zaragoza in 1995, and the Barbastro center opened in 2000. The parent Grupo Correas brings together nine companies operating in Spain (Zaragoza, Huesca, Barbastro, and Valencia) and Morocco (Agadir and Larache). The group works in fruit and vegetable production, packaging, distribution, import, and export, as well as food products, hospitality equipment, and real estate.
