Fundación para el Desarrollo Socioeconómico del Alto Aragón (FUNDESA) is a nonprofit based in Huesca. Its board is made up of the Official Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Huesca and members of the Chamber's executive committee. The foundation works with social and economic organizations across the province.

Areas of work

• Employment agency: Authorized by the public employment service to connect job seekers with employers.
• Business advice and programs: Developed in coordination with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Huesca.
• Socioeconomic observatory: Analysis and studies on businesses and the economy of Huesca province.
• Corporate social responsibility: Promoting a culture of corporate social responsibility, one of the foundation's stated goals.
• Cross-border projects: Participation in cooperation initiatives such as LIFE PYRÉNÉES4CLIMA.
• Training and employment: Programs in training, career guidance, and workforce integration.

FUNDESA manages programs to improve employability and support workforce integration, including:

• Comprehensive Program for Improving Employability and Workforce Integration (INAEM)
• Agroinserta, with Obra Social La Caixa
• Elecciones con emoción: Tu futuro profesional, with Fundación CAI-Ibercaja
• Huesca Activa y Diversa — Digital
• Other training, career-guidance, and employment programs

The foundation has also participated as an employment agency at job events, including Contacta 2018, held on May 15, 2018.

LIFE PYRÉNÉES4CLIMA

FUNDESA participates in LIFE PYRÉNÉES4CLIMA, a project funded 60% by the European Union with a total budget of €19.5 million. The foundation has an allocation of €74,000 and leads work in Work Package 4, focused on promoting sustainable tourism and developing cross-border tourism products in mountain areas.

Online job portal

The Huesca Chamber of Commerce launched a job portal at camarahuesca.portalemp.com where businesses and candidates can connect: employers post openings and candidates upload their profiles.
