DOS Second Chances

A textile-redesign studio transforming unwanted clothing through custom art, printing, embroidery, and appliqués, working locally and to order.

About DOS Second Chances

Giving existing clothes a second life

DOS Second Chances is a textile-redesign project based in Huelma, Jaén, Spain. It reworks existing garments rather than producing new clothing, using discarded pieces and recycled or donated fabrics with artisan techniques.

Each project is personalized: a customer shares an idea or story, and the company applies it to a garment. There is no ready-made inventory; orders are produced on request, so customers need to plan for customization lead times.

How the studio works

  • Local, made-to-order production: Work is done in-house and locally, reducing long-term storage and the water use associated with large-scale production.
  • Reused materials: The studio uses discarded garments and recycled or donated fabrics instead of new textiles.
  • Low-water redesign: It prioritizes techniques that use little or no water, such as printing, embroidery, patches, and appliqués, rather than dyeing.
  • Handmade process: The company says all of its work is 100% handmade.

Custom services

DOS Second Chances offers a shop of redesigned garments, customization of customers’ own clothing, and a studio section for starting custom projects. Its blog covers sustainable fashion and responsible consumption.
