About bonÀrea Agrupa
An integrated food and agriculture group
bonÀrea Agrupa is a rural-origin business group with a vertically integrated model: it oversees animal-feed production and livestock raising, food processing, and sales through its own stores. Its food center is called “La Closa.”
Main activities
- Livestock: chick production, poultry and livestock contracts, farm construction, livestock supplies, and agricultural services covering animal and plant health, farm management, seeds, fertilizers, and nuts.
- Animal feed: feed production and supply, online feed sales, pet food, farm centers, and grain and forage collection.
- Food for people: the “La Closa” food center, retail, professional and online sales, restaurants, and exports.
- Energy: gas stations with fuel ordering and pricing, electricity, and natural gas.
- Services: financial services through CaixaGuissona, insurance through bonÀrea Asegura, consulting through bonÀrea Asesora, and telecommunications through bonÀrea Telecom.
Sales and locations
The group sells through bonÀrea stores, buffet-style restaurants, gas stations, farm centers, and cash-and-carry locations. It also offers online food sales, online Horeca Food Service, and exports.
Reach and projects
The company says it serves more than 1.5 million customers and exports to more than 60 countries. Its Épila project represents a €400 million investment to build a new food center in Aragón and expand bonÀrea stores. The food center includes on-site solar power, a water-treatment plant, a biogas plant under construction, and logistics using reusable white crates. It has AENOR’s “Residuo Zero” (Zero Waste) certification.
