Amargós

Wood products for construction and renovation

Amargós is a Spanish manufacturer and wholesaler of wood materials for construction, renovation, and DIY. Its catalog includes prehung-door frames (kits, drywall versions, and ventilated options), trim boards, square and round wood stock (including laminated fir, pressure-treated laminated red pine, and solid fir), sliding-door products (track and exterior-frame kits), and drywall products such as Pladur supports and preframes.

History and capacity

José and Manuel Amargós founded the company in 1972. It has more than 30,000 square meters of production and storage facilities, with advanced equipment and automated processes to speed manufacturing. Its gluing process is designed to keep wood strips straight and prevent warping.

How to buy

Amargós does not sell directly to consumers. It works exclusively through distribution channels, so its products are available from specialized lumberyards and large retailers. The minimum order is one pallet, though requirements may vary by product. The company can help customers locate a nearby retailer.

Innovation and sustainability

Recent developments include a stronger, easier-to-install, store, and transport door-frame kit; an exterior sliding-door track kit; and drywall supports. The company says it is committed to sustainable forest management and renewable energy in its operations.
