Grudiva is a precision manufacturer based in Granollers, Spain, specializing in transmission and drivetrain components, including high-precision gears, shafts, and gearbox assemblies. Its products serve original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the automotive, agricultural, industrial, and construction sectors.

The company has been part of India’s Sanjeev Group since its acquisition in 2012, combining European engineering and oversight with manufacturing and supply capacity in India.

Capabilities and Facilities

Grudiva covers the full production process, including machining, casting, forging, heat treatment, coating, and final assembly. Its facilities include robotic and manual production lines, CNC lathes, horizontal and vertical machining centers (HMCs and VMCs), multitasking centers, and balancing machines.

In-house heat treatment includes automated sealed-quench furnaces, shot blasting, and an equipped laboratory. Finishing operations include straightening, internal and external diameter grinding, hard turning, and gear-tooth flank grinding. The assembly and paint operation has 14 assembly lines, including robotic lines, with 100% leak and noise testing.

For inspection, the company has three coordinate-measuring machines (CMMs) and two gear testers for involute and flank measurements, as well as crack detection and burn and cleanliness testing.

Company History

Founded in 1955 as Grudiva SA, formerly Talleres Brimo SA, the company was acquired by Sanjeev Group in 2012. Since then, it has added a paint line (2013), a heat-treatment line (2014), its first robotic gear-cutting line (2015), its first robotic assembly line (2018), and its first robotic line for machining castings (2022).

Sourcing from India began in 2014 with pre-machining operations. By 2020, India supplied 60% of its rough-forged parts, and by 2024, 50% of its machined castings.

India–Europe Production Model

Grudiva combines European operations with a manufacturing network in India covering forging, casting, machining, and finishing, managed under European quality standards. The company says more than 60% of its components come from India, supporting improvements in cost and delivery time.

Quality and Customers

The company says its quality systems align with ISO standards and OEM compliance requirements. It names John Deere as a trusted OEM partner.

Local management includes Jordi Freixa, business manager; Carles Escarrà, operations manager; and Carles Mangas, finance manager. Maithilee Tambolkar Kamat and Shivaprasad Kamat are listed as co-managing directors.
