Environmental monitoring in Granadilla

Fundación Observatorio Ambiental Granadilla (OAG) is an independent foundation affiliated with Spain's General State Administration, under the protectorate of the Ministry of Culture and Sports and part of the national public sector. Its founding purpose is to ensure that the Port of Granadilla is built and operated with respect for the environment. It monitors the condition and trends of local biodiversity and checks that corrective and compensatory measures are properly applied.

The foundation was created following the European Commission's opinion of November 6, 2006, on the port construction project.
