About I·D·I

The Institute for Integral Development (I·D·I) is a nonprofit organization based in Granada, Spain. It describes its work as “self-realization psychology” connected with Taoist medicine and says it aims to support personal development across racial, national, cultural and gender differences. Its approach combines psychological and emotional work with the study of what it calls energy fields.

The organization says it is authorized by Spain's Ministry of the Interior and is not affiliated with a sectarian or political ideology.

Areas of study

  • Taoist medicine: Study of mental, emotional, vital and physical energy fields, with an introduction to mindful massage and acupressure.
  • Self-realization psychology: Personal and emotional development drawing on mythology, Kabbalah, alchemy and ontology.
  • Values education: “The Wizard's Path,” an educational project for adults, children and teenagers.

Seven stages of development

The institute organizes its curriculum into seven stages: self-realization psychology; study of energy fields; the 48 laws it says govern us; Kabbalah and alchemy; Greek and Egyptian mythology, including Egyptian tarot arcana; the initiatory path, described as the three mountains of mysteries; and the 49 autonomous parts of the Self.
