Electrónica General de Sonido S.A. (EGSON) is a Spanish company founded in 1967 that works in electroacoustics, audiovisuals, communications, and security. Its projects range from sound reinforcement for a single room to complex systems for cathedrals and nuclear power plants, including voice-evacuation systems certified to EN 54-16 and EN 54-24.

Technical capabilities and certifications

EGSON has in-house engineering, architecture, legal-advisory, installation, and maintenance teams. It holds authorizations as a telecommunications installer, low-voltage installer, fire-protection-systems installer and maintainer, and security-systems installer. As a State Supplier, it has the highest classification in its activity groups: telecommunications and radio installations (I-7), electronic installations (I-8), and electrical installations (I-9). It also holds UNE-EN-ISO 9001:2015 quality-management and UNE-EN-ISO 14001:2015 environmental-management certifications.

Experience and coverage

EGSON’s technical-support service covers more than 50,000 installations nationwide. Named projects include certified supervised public-address systems at San Rafael Hospital; control and video-recording systems at León Cathedral; public address, access control, and CCTV with thermal and perimeter cameras at the Globalia Corporación hangar; and a healthcare communications system at La Fe Hospital.
