From Harvest to Packaged Spices

HerboSpice S.L. produces paprika and other food seasonings in Spain. It manages the full production process, from planting and selection at origin through final packaging, and sells several types of spices and oleoresins. The company adjusts paprika particle size and color to customer requirements.

The facilities provide more than 6,000 m² of storage, including 1,000 m² of refrigerated space. Production includes receiving, conditioning, crushing, milling, blending, steam sterilization, metal detection, self-cleaning magnets, and packaging.

Quality and Sustainability

The company says its products are backed by quality certifications and that all production undergoes strict controls. It operates on 100% renewable energy and has a 252.98 kWp photovoltaic installation for on-site use, consisting of 556 455 W modules and two 110 kW inverters. The system generates reported energy savings of 311,576 kWh and avoids 103 metric tons of CO₂ emissions per year. The total investment was €171,979, including a €54,256 grant.

International Presence

HerboSpice regularly participates in international food-industry trade shows, including GULFOOD and GULFOOD MANUFACTURING in Dubai, ANUGA in Cologne, SIAL in Paris, The Saudi Food Show in Riyadh, and IFE London. These activities are organized or co-funded by the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Services and Navigation of Murcia and Cartagena, INFO (the Murcia Region Development Institute), and European Union ERDF funds.
