About Reunificación de Deudas
Debt consolidation
Reunificación de Deudas is an advisory service for people with excessive debt. Its proposal is to combine credit accounts, consumer loan payments, mortgages, and debts to banks, finance companies, and retailers into a single loan, so the customer goes from making multiple payments to making one payment lower than their previous combined total.
How it works
The usual method is to take out a mortgage secured by a property. The company says all debts must be included, with none excluded, and the total cannot exceed 80% of the property's value. An alternative is consolidation with a personal guarantee, which requires stable, verifiable monthly income, no listing on delinquency registers, and a guarantor.
The tradeoff is that lowering the monthly payment extends the repayment period, which generally increases interest and the total amount paid by the end of the loan.
Debts that may be consolidated
- Mortgages
- Personal loans
- Credit cards
- Debts to banks, finance companies, and retailers
- Past-due or late payments
Applicants must submit statements for all debts to document their financial situation.
