About Galicia TurisTIC
What Galicia TurisTIC is
Galicia TurisTIC describes itself as Galicia's first Centro de Servicios Avanzados, or advanced services center, focused on technology for tourism. It began operating in 2022 and dedicates 300 square meters to demonstrations, training and experimentation with digital tools that may be useful to tourism businesses.
Facilities and services
The center's published spaces include:
- A laboratory with 3D printers and other technology.
- Workrooms that can serve as temporary office space.
- An area for virtual- and augmented-reality applications.
- An event room for presenting ideas and business models.
- A demonstration area for hotel sensor systems.
- An interactive training classroom measuring more than 40 square meters.
Funding
Galicia TurisTIC was a beneficiary of European Regional Development Fund support under the 2014–2020 ERDF Galicia operational program, administered through IGAPE within the “Centros de Fabricación Avanzada” initiative. That description documents the center's funding history and does not imply that the same grant period remains open.
Online presence
The project maintains channels on YouTube, X and LinkedIn. Its website is the appropriate place to identify current demonstrations, training activities, access requirements and inquiry channels.
Tourism companies considering a visit can establish whether an activity is open to the public, requires registration or targets professionals, and whether use of a room or laboratory carries a fee.
