A professional association for funeral services

The Spanish Association of Funeral Service Professionals (AESPROF) is a nonprofit representing workers in Spain’s funeral services sector. Its membership includes funeral directors and staff, embalmers, crematory and cemetery workers, as well as cleaning, driving, and administrative staff in the industry.

Mission and member support

The association says it works to represent the shared interests of funeral professionals and gain recognition for their work. Its stated goals include providing institutional support to members, offering continuing education, and promoting equal opportunities for professionals across regions and countries.

Training and events

AESPROF regularly organizes workshops, talks, and webinars for members. Past subjects include the history of embalming in Spain, grief after suicide, and online sales techniques. The association has also organized educational gatherings in Sagunto, Zaragoza, and Valencia and hosted meetings of the European Association of Embalmers (EAE), of which it is a member.

Membership

Annual dues are listed at €75, payable in four quarterly installments of €18.75, and include liability insurance and legal assistance. AESPROF says dues may be updated. New members can apply through an online form.
