Local emergency volunteers
The El Campello Local Civil Protection Volunteer Group works with public authorities to prepare for and respond to risks affecting residents, the environment, and property in the municipality. Its service area is El Campello, in Spain’s Valencian Community.

Volunteer duties
Volunteers take part in preventive work such as forest and beach patrols, crowd management, supporting self-protection plans for major sporting, cultural, and social events, and participating in emergency drills. How to volunteer
Applicants must be over 18, or over 16 with parental permission, submit the required application, and complete a basic training course. Civil Protection volunteering is governed by Decree 7/2007, which establishes its own legal framework. Article 4 of the Valencian Community’s Civil Protection and Emergency Law 9/2002 recognizes the public’s right to participate in Civil Protection; at the municipal level, participation is organized through volunteer groups.
