Test Conexión

Internet speed testing

Test Conexión is a web tool for measuring an internet connection's speed. It reports four metrics: ping in milliseconds, jitter in milliseconds, download speed in Mbps, and upload speed in Mbps. After a test, users can share the results as an image on forums and other channels. Each test receives its own Test ID.

Service provider

The service is associated with TránsitoIP, described as a wholesale IP transit provider. The site runs on an HTML5 Speedtest server with telemetry enabled.

Data collected

According to its privacy policy, running a test stores the test ID, date and time, results (download, upload, ping, and jitter), IP address, internet provider information, approximate location inferred from the IP address rather than GPS, browser user agent and language, and a technical log without personal information. The data is used to share results and improve the service and is not shared with third parties.

Data deletion

To request deletion of information, users must provide the Test ID or their IP address so the record can be identified. Requests are handled at info@testconexion.com.
