About kdd.es

kdd.es is a web app that turns long URLs into short addresses such as kdd.es/abcd. Users can choose a short word to replace the original link; if they do not enter one, the service generates a random string of five or six characters.

How it works

• Converts long URLs into customizable short links
• Lets users reserve a short word with a secret key
• With a secret key, users can later change the destination of the short link; without one, the redirect is permanent
• The service says malicious web addresses are removed periodically
