Atotech España S.A.U. is a specialty-chemicals company within the MKS group. It provides electroplating and surface-treatment solutions for electronics, automotive, solar energy, appliances, batteries, and other sectors. The company operates in Spain and Portugal as part of an international network in more than 40 countries.

Products and solutions

Atotech offers chemical processes, equipment, and digital solutions for manufacturing printed circuit boards, multilayer substrates, semiconductors, and electronic components. Its portfolio includes surface-treatment products such as adhesion promoters, electroless and electrolytic copper, final finishes, and decorative and functional coatings. It also sells production-line equipment and industrial software for process monitoring and optimization.

With more than 100 years of experience in the chemical and electroplating industries, Atotech reports a portfolio of more than 2,000 active patents associated with its brand, including 1,700 related to chemical processes and 300 to advanced equipment. The company operates 13 TechCenters, 15 chemical-product manufacturing plants, and two engineering-equipment factories worldwide.
