About Viveros los Valles

Fruit and ornamental trees from Castellón

Viveros los Valles is a nursery in Cuevas de Vinromà, Castellón, growing and selling fruit trees, olive trees, ornamental plants, and shade trees. It began in late 1975 with an experimental planting of about 500 almond trees on a 500-square-meter plot, initially serving local farmers.

Growing facilities

The nursery expanded over time to 15 hectares devoted to growing a wide range of plants. Its properties include 14,000 square meters of metal-frame greenhouses and 106,000 square meters of outdoor cultivation. The company also received authorization to operate a citrus nursery on a property in San Rafael del Río.

Tree varieties

The catalog includes a broad range of fruit and ornamental species:

  • Almond trees, including Marcona, walnuts, pecans, and hazelnuts
  • Olive, cherry, plum, apricot, peach—including the Picanya variety—and pomegranate trees
  • Persimmon, fig, kiwi, table-grape vines, and blueberries
  • Carob, mulberry, dragon fruit, and palm trees
  • Shade trees, holm oaks, and Lagerstroemia indica
  • Potted and bare-root fruit trees

Along with young plants, the nursery grows semi-mature Mediterranean species for customers who want to plant a tree that can bear fruit in the same year. Olive trees are a major part of its production and are offered in several formats.

Markets

The nursery serves customers across Spain and exports to other European countries, including France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, Ireland, and Croatia.
