History

Jesús Vázquez Sánchez (1905–1993) founded the company in 1927, initially supplying leather to Zaragoza’s local industry. Starting in 1945, he opened branches to serve Spain’s footwear-producing regions. The company began expanding internationally in the 1970s, becoming an early Spanish entrant in the Indian and Pakistani import markets. It exports mainly to France, Morocco, Portugal, India, and Mexico. The company describes its history as spanning 100 years and four generations.

Warehouse network

Curtidos J. Vázquez has seven warehouses in Spain—in Almansa, Arnedo, Ciutadella, Elche, Illueca, Inca, and Villena—plus its central warehouse in Zaragoza, two warehouses in Portugal, and permanent offices in India and Hong Kong. This network places the company near major footwear and leather-goods centers in southern Europe and supports service to customers worldwide.

Products

The company offers more than 100 leather products in a range of finishes and colors, from classic and casual looks to metallic, fantasy, and embossed designs. Its Spring–Summer 2027 collection includes Nairobi, Boa, Nexus, Olimpia, Penélope, Big Cocco, Nobel, and Emu.

Certification

The company is certified by the Leather Working Group, which recognizes responsible and sustainable practices in its supply chain.
